This course provides an in-depth review of the characteristics and features of and interventions for autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
What will students learn in this course?
· Students will examine the characteristics and features of ASDs and its impact on their functioning in home, school, and community environments.
· Students will also examine etiology, myths, assessments, research-based interventions, and program models.
· Students will gain knowledge on what strategies/interventions work or show promise and how to evaluate the myriad of interventions that are offered.
